Jubilee Lineup & Schedule

Friday – July 24
8:00 AM – 12:00 Noon
WALK TO THE HISTORIC ADOBE RANCH & NATIVE AMERICAN GARDEN SITE
Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve
FREE – ADVANCE RESERVATION REQUIRED – FLAT & ROLLING HILLS TERRAINE

Walk the Ranch Road from the Visitor’s Center at the Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve to the historic Adobe Ranch and Native American garden site. Experience the beauty and ecological diversity of the spectacular Reserve. The historic Adobe structures, the oldest in Riverside County, are generally not open to the public, but you will enter these fragile dwellings and be transformed back in time to hear about the Plateau’s ranch history beginning with the Spanish/Mission period. You will also experience acoustic western music that the ranch hands might have sung around the campfire, performed by Murrieta’s own recording artist and “Singing Cowboy” Joel Reese. Light refreshments will be served.

You will be walking on designated trails, flat with only moderate inclines. The trip is 3.1 miles one way. Accompanied by Reserve Interpreter Rob Hicks and trail leaders, the walk will take about half a day. Due to the potential heat in July, plan on leaving the Visitor’s Center at 8:00 am and returning approximately by 12:30. Water will be provided. Trails are not conducive to strollers.
